Aspen palette

As mentioned in a previous post, I was fortunate to paint in the Estes Park, CO area, with the Outdoor Painter Society (OPS), in late September. This was a fantastic trip. Great scenery, great painters (Rocky Mountain Plein air painters were also there) and in general, a great time!
As I looked through all the photos I took, I came across this one with Aspen leaves that had fallen onto my palette, while I was mixing colors to paint a small group of Aspen trees. What a great way to match colors.
I have posted some of the trip paintings on my website. I'm sure there will be more paintings, based on the photos and studies I returned with.
Art, Art, and more Art

The last 3 weeks have been what I dream of...art, art, and more art. Starting with "Map your Way to Burnet" Plein Air, followed by 3 days with the Outdoor Painter's Society (OPS)in Estes Park, CO, and finishing with Kerrville Outdoor Painting Event (KOPE).
I thoroughly enjoyed being a part of each of these. I have to say, I have met some of the nicest and most interesting people during this past month. Over the next few posts, I will be sharing some of the experiences.
